PHILADELPHIA – SolomonEdwards, a national professional services firm focused on solving critical business challenges for companies undergoing growth, change or compliance-driven events, today announced the acquisition of CFO’s Domain, a nationwide consulting and recruiting firm specializing in Office of the CFO advisory services. The acquisition expands SolomonEdwards’ finance and accounting consulting capabilities, strengthens its presence in California and enhances its ability to deliver integrated solutions to finance leaders across high-growth industries.
CFO’s Domain, based in Los Angeles, provides consulting, interim employee placement and professional search services across accounting and financial reporting, financial planning and analysis, business intelligence and analytics, financial systems, IPO readiness, M&A and post-merger integration, restructuring and project management. The firm serves clients in technology, media and entertainment, life sciences, consumer products, financial services and healthcare.
CFO’s Domain will continue to operate under its own structure as a SolomonEdwards Company initially, before fully transitioning into SolomonEdwards’ Office of the CFO consulting solutions. Co-founders Rahul Merani and Patrick Coggins have joined the SolomonEdwards leadership team, supporting the firm’s continued expansion and enhancing its ability to serve clients nationwide.
“CFO’s Domain is a highly complementary addition that accelerates our strategy to build a scaled, differentiated Office of the CFO consulting platform,” said John Gulnac, CEO of SolomonEdwards. “Rahul, Patrick and their team bring deep finance transformation and FP&A expertise, a strong West Coast footprint and a reputation for producing quality outcomes. Together, we are expanding SolomonEdwards’ ability to deliver the specialized talent and advisory capabilities finance leaders need to navigate growth, transactions and change.”
The acquisition enhances SolomonEdwards’ existing Office of the CFO services, which includes accounting and finance solutions, finance transformation, FP&A, governance, tax, risk and compliance, M&A lifecycle support and project management. CFO’s Domain clients will gain access to SolomonEdwards’ broader capabilities across data and risk solutions, while SolomonEdwards clients will benefit from expanded consulting depth and recruiting capabilities within finance organizations.
“We founded CFO’s Domain to provide finance leaders with trusted talent and consulting support,” said Merani. “SolomonEdwards shares our commitment to delivering practical, high-impact solutions to CFOs and finance teams. By joining forces, we can offer our clients a broader suite of services and a deeper bench of expertise while preserving the hands-on consulting model that has defined CFO’s Domain.”
“This partnership creates meaningful opportunities for our consultants, employees and clients. “As part of SolomonEdwards, we can expand our reach and deliver more integrated solutions that help finance leaders execute strategic priorities, while ensuring teams remain fully supported by providing experienced professionals who can step in and maintain momentum during periods of transition,” added Coggins.
The transaction continues SolomonEdwards’ expansion following the acquisitions of Dominion Advisory Group, Steele Consulting and Pencek Advisors since its majority investment from Renovus Capital Partners in 2022, further diversifying the firm’s client portfolio and strengthening its private equity-backed growth platform.
