2023

Year in Review

We are pleased to share our 2023 Year in Review, highlighting key milestones in another productive year. On the investment front, the past year included one significant exit, four new platform investments, multiple add-on acquisitions and programmatic efforts across the portfolio. Our continued investment in our people saw growth through multiple new hires, including newly created roles, and several promotions of tenured team members. 2023 also marked the publication of our inaugural impact report as well as several LP-focused initiatives.

Firm Updates

Renovus Ranked #1 in a Global Study of Small Cap Buyout Firms¹

Renovus was ranked #1 in a study of global small-cap buyout firms by HEC Paris Dow Jones as published on April 5, 2023.

⁽¹⁾ HEC Paris-Dow Jones ranked firms based on data compiled from Preqin or directly from PE firms for activity from 2009-2018. Rankings based on proprietary methodology that calculates aggregate performance of a PE firm across vintage years and considers relative and absolute returns. Renovus Capital Partners did not provide any compensation to HEC Paris-Dow Jones or Prequin to be included or ranked in the study.

Annual Meeting

Renovus held its annual meeting in September 2023 with 150+ investors and friends of the firm in attendance in person and online.

CEO Summit

Renovus brought together 40 CEOs from our portfolio companies in Arizona for three days of learning, connecting – and fun!

Impact

Renovus released its inaugural Impact Report, documenting its portfolio companies' progress in achieving key impact milestones which generate social good and enhance our portfolio companies' employment brands. Read the full report on our website.

GovCon Summit

Renovus held its first ever GovCon Summit with its portfolio companies that specialize in government services. It was a pleasure to introduce all of the teams and have a great day of collaboration.

Intern Class Summer 2023

We were happy to have had so many interns join us last summer.

Higher Education Summit

Renovus held a focused session for its CEOs who lead our portfolio companies in the higher education sector.

Firm Barbeque

The Renovus team kicked off summer with a barbeque. With our team growth, it was a great opportunity to get to know each other better outside of work!

Exits

In October, Renovus announced the sale of its portfolio company Inflow Communications to Amplix, a portfolio company of Gemspring Capital Management. Renovus acquired InflowCX in 2020 and shortly thereafter combined the company with PeakView, creating a leading provider of strategic advisory, deployment, and managed services for contact center, customer experience, and unified communications solutions.

New Platform Investments

Renovus invested more than $105 million in four new platform investments during 2023.

Behavioral Framework is a leading provider of autism diagnostic services and ABA therapy in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington DC. Since 2017, Behavioral Framework has provided clinically exceptional care and measurable client outcomes for thousands of children diagnosed with autism and their families.

DataServ is a preeminent provider of managed technology, connectivity, and security services. The Company’s unique “IT as a utility” approach simplifies the access, use, and management of technology and is tailormade for customers in education, government, healthcare and other highly-regulated commercial markets.

Renovus created a new platform through the combination of F2 Strategy and Oakbrook Solutions. Together, they are the largest WealthTech management consulting firm in North America helping complex RIAs, wealth, bank/trust and family office firms improve their technical capabilities to build exceptional client and advisor experiences.

TJP is a leading healthcare marketing communications and sales training consultant. TJP serves several large global pharmaceutical companies in the highly specialized area of payer marketing as well as access and affordability program design, implementation and management.
