2022
YEAR IN REVIEW
Renovus had an active and productive year in 2022, making new platform and add-on investments, completing two significant exits, building the team and launching new strategic initiatives.
We have achieved our progress through the committed work of our team of 22 professionals, many of whom joined us this past year. Our team growth is a result of a multi-year effort to build our investment, business development, and finance teams at the junior through senior levels. Entering 2023, we are most focused on recruiting a talented investor relations professional, and would welcome your referrals.
Our 2022 activities are summarized below. We are looking forward to 2023 as we anticipate it will shape up to be a challenging yet successful year.
Firm Updates
Exits
Renovus completed the sale of Pragmatic Institute to MidOcean Partners. During Renovus’ investment period, Pragmatic grew from a provider of six in person product management courses to a provider of nearly twenty courses delivered in person and online across product, data science, and design management.
Renovus completed the sale of Linkage, a training company that aims to change the face of leadership through attracting and retaining talented and diverse leaders, to the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), a 300,000 member organization focused on creating thriving workplaces.
New Platform Investments
Renovus invested $141 million in seven new platform investments.
HBR provides law firms and corporate law departments with strategic guidance, operational improvement, and technology solutions that drive innovation while managing cost and mitigating risk.
Renovus created a new platform through the combination of LAC Group and Wilson Allen. Together, they are a leading provider of intelligence, research, and IT services to legal and corporate clients across the United States and Canada.
Similar to LAC Group and Wilson Allen, Renovus created another new platform by combining MC3 and Curtis Learning, two Philadelphia-based businesses. Together, they form a leading provider of scientific training and custom events for the life sciences industry, delivering world class content in both live and virtual settings.
Premier is a technology consulting firm specializing in data migration. The company’s innovative services and Applaud® software reduce the overall risk in a technology transformation and ensure projects remain on track in even the most complex environments.
ProfitOptics is a digital transformation company that leverages its proprietary software and custom product development capabilities to automate clients’ manual workflows and help them achieve their business and profit targets.
SolomonEdwards is a national professional services firm focused on consulting and strategy execution for the finance and accounting departments of its national base of enterprise clients.
ToxStrategies is a multidisciplinary scientific consulting firm that provides toxicological and epidemiological services to clients in the pharmaceutical, food and additives, consumer products, chemical, petrochemical, and pet sectors.
